Domestic Relations Committee, Yeongjoon Pyeon, Head of committee, currently working at consulting firm providing Construction Solutions, has over 36 years of experience in the international construction industry, working at construction contractors in Korea. For the last 18 years he has worked in the legal department of a major Korean EPC Contractor and, as the head of overseas legal, led a team comprised of lawyers, engineers and claim consultants, principally engaged in reviewing ITB documents for international construction projects; providing legal/contractual advice; participating in contract negotiations; developing processes for IPP/PPP projects with contractor’s equity participation; and reviewing claims. YJ has broad experience in identifying and mitigating contractual risks, providing suitable business solutions in pursuit of commercial excellence, auditing contract and claim management systems established at project sites, and in the dispute resolution and litigation process. YJ is has worked on a wide variety of projects in many countries and different sectors. He applied his international construction law knowledge and contract management skills to identify contractual issues that most complex projects are facing and suggested solutions to overcome the difficulties in number of ways available in the contracts. He is also capable of providing suitable business solutions in pursuit of commercial excellence, auditing contracts and claim management systems and advising clients in dispute resolution process.

켈리 이 변호사는 영국 (England & Wales) 및 미국 변호사 자격증을 보유하고 있으며, SK 에코플랜트에 글로벌법무팀에서 국제 소성과, 해외건설 프로젝트, 국제 거래 및 국제 투자 관련 검토 및 분쟁 관련 업무를 담당하고 있습니다. 켈리 이 변호사는 Allen & Overy 홍콩 사무소 국제중재팀에서의 근무를 마치고 홍콩국재중제 센터 한국 지사의 수석 대표이사로 근무한 경력도 있습니다. Allen & Overy 근무 이전에는 현대중공업 국제법무팀 책임변호사로 국제중재 및 소송은 물론 국제거래 관련 업무를 담당하였다. 또한 그 이전에는 미국의 국제 로펌 근무경력이 있으며 미국 제 5 연방항소 법원 Harold R. DeMoss Jr. 판사의 로클럭으로 근무하였다. 국제중재에 대한 켈리 이 변호사의 경험은 유럽, 중동, 라틴 아메리카 및 아시아는 물론 모든 주요 기관 규칙 및 UNCITRAL 소송에 걸쳐 있다. 특히 EPC 계약, 구매 및 보안 계약, 합작 투자 및 주요 국제 프로젝트 관련 공급 및 금융 계약에 따라 발생하는 건설 및 상업 분쟁을 전문으로 하고 있다. 켈리 이 변호사는 영어와 한국어를 유창하게 구사하며, Northeastern University School of Law 및 Harvard Law School / MIT Inter-Consortium에서 각각 J.D. 학위 및 Masters in Advanced Negotiation 및 ADR 프로그램을 수료하였다.

Ms. Kellie Yi, a dual licensed (U.S. and England and Wales) attorney with wide range of experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters in Construction, Energy, Shipbuilding, ESG, and Sustainable Development sectors. Kellie has specialized in construction and commercial disputes including those arising under EPC contracts, procurement and security agreements, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and related supply and finance agreements for major international projects. Kellie’s experience in international arbitration spans Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia as well as all major institutional rules and UNCITRAL proceedings. She has experience working at Allen & Overy's international arbitration team based out of the Hong Kong office, a a major Korean construction/shipbuilding conglomerate company, an arbitral institution, and an ESG company. Kellie also previously worked at an international law firm in the U.S. and clerked for Hon. Judge Harold R. DeMoss Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
